The Hessenza design showroom in Rome hosted an event dedicated to architect Carlo Scarpa.

Numerous figures from the worlds of architecture and design visited the Hessenza showroom, a creative hub dedicated to design and architecture, located in the heart of Rome at Via di Montoro 10, for the art exhibition “TRIBUTE TO CARLO SCARPA,” organized by Concrete Solution in collaboration with Krei.

The tribute pays homage to the fully custom seamless flooring developed by architect Carlo Scarpa in Venice inspired by a mosaic sheet missing a few tiles in collaboration with Concrete Solution (a leading company in seamless surfaces: innovative, versatile, and joint-free materials) and Krei (a partner to architectural firms, contractors, and designers).

Drawing inspiration from the approach and methods of Carlo Scarpa, one of the most important designers of the 20th century, the project references his vision of a Venetian-style floor in which irregular marble tiles created a unique graphic pattern in the famous flooring he designed for the Olivetti store in St. Mark’s Square.

In this context, the “Tribute to Scarpa” event served as an invitation to immerse oneself in a vision that unites artisanal tradition and material innovation, offering food for thought on a legacy that continues to profoundly influence the landscape of contemporary architecture and interior design.
