Krei’s Rome showroom is located within the Hessenza creative hub, a space dedicated to excellence in design and architecture. A true gallery where you can admire materials of extraordinary beauty and millennia-old history, in a perfect union of craftsmanship and technology. Marbles, handmade terracotta, mosaics, continuous surfaces, and decorative systems trace an imaginative journey through rare stones and captivating colour variations, a space where each material has the chance to express itself and reveal its hidden stories. It all begins with the striking Patagonia quartzite reception desk, sourced from Brazil and among the rarest in the world, distinguished by nature’s extraordinary interplay of shapes and colours.
In keeping with a harmonious vision that unites architecture and the historical identity of the area, our showroom is located near Campo de’ Fiori, a historic square in Rome, in the area facing the Temple of Venus Victrix. During the 15th century, important buildings belonging to the Orsini family were constructed along the sides of the square, adding charm to the area. Campo de’ Fiori became a bustling thoroughfare for pilgrims and ambassadors on their way to St. Peter’s, as well as a hub for cultural activities, artisan workshops, and later the site of the city’s oldest market.
Wandering through the surrounding cobblestone streets, one encounters traces of ancient trades: Via de’ Giubbonari, once home to makers of ‘gipponi’—bodices and corsets; Via dei Chiavari, named after the blacksmiths’ workshops that specialized in locks and keys; Via dei Balestrari, referring to the guild of crossbow makers and sellers; and Via dei Baullari, known for its many trunk and suitcase makers. Just behind Campo de’ Fiori lies the Spada Gallery, featuring the spectacular illusionistic colonnade created in 1653 by Francesco Borromini.
