Apollo

Designed by Giulia Balducci, the Capitelli collection comprises three sculptural pieces crafted from solid marble. Each features distinctive detailing inspired by the decorative styles of the classical architectural orders, creating an elegant dialogue between ancient Greek architecture and contemporary functionality.

The word capitello derives from the Latin capitĕllum, meaning the crowning element of a column, variously shaped or decorated with stylised motifs, supporting the arch or architrave. From Classical Greece to contemporary interiors, capitals and columns are reinterpreted as monolithic furnishing pieces inspired by the timeless elegance of ancient architecture, bringing the language of classicism into modern living.

They can be used as centrepieces, catchalls, storage bowls or fruit bowls; these distinctive pieces bring character to living spaces and areas created for entertaining.

Each piece in natural stone is conceived as both a functional object and a work of art, designed to be admired as much as it is used. The craftsmanship behind each creation elevates natural materials beyond their traditional role, revealing marble in a fresh and unexpected way. The result is a collection of distinctive objects that take centre stage in everyday interiors, combining contemporary style with minimalist aesthetics and practical functionality.

Apollo pays tribute to the Corinthian order: stripping away the ornate aesthetic of traditional Corinthian capitals in favour of soft, flowing lines. Its confident and elegant trapezoidal form is supported by a column that echoes the timeless grace of classical architecture.
