Historical archive, Castel Gandolfo

A journey into the extraordinary beauty of the building located close to the papal residence in Castel Gandolfo, on the outskirts of Rome.
Based on a project of Officina d’Architettura, the renovation saw us collaborate on different environments in a continuous search for material solutions.
From support for the design, to the creation of terracotta strips made with a particular finish, to marble.
From those selected in the marble quarries of Iran, such as the Black travertine, particular and chosen from numerous blocks faced and proposed, to the White Carrara installed on the floor or used in the creation of the washbasins.
The Silver Wave is exhibited on an entire wall; refined marbles have been proposed and supplied for the areas used as local bars.
Also significant is the external intervention characterized by the supply of materials for fountains and transit areas.
