Poseidone

The Capitelli collection, designed by Giulia Balducci, comprises three sculptural elements crafted from solid marble, featuring distinctive detailing inspired by the decorative styles of the classical architectural orders. The result is an elegant fusion of ancient Greek architecture and modern functionality.

Capitello, from the Latin capitĕllum: the crowning element of a column, variously shaped or embellished with stylised motifs, upon which an arch or architrave rests. Originating in Classical Greece, capitals and columns are now making their way into interior design through monolithic furnishings inspired by the classicism of ancient architecture and reinterpreted for contemporary living.

They can be used as centrepieces, trinket trays, decorative storage bowls or fruit bowls—distinctive pieces designed to enhance living spaces and areas dedicated to gathering and entertaining.

Natural stone is transformed into a true work of art—an object to be displayed and admired, while retaining its functional purpose. Hand craftsmanship applied to natural materials transcends into art, bringing marble to life in unexpected ways. The result is a collection of objects that take centre stage in everyday interiors, introducing a contemporary style that combines minimalist aesthetics with practicality.

Poseidone draws inspiration from the Doric architectural order, reflecting its solidity and simplicity through a solemn, balanced form. The rectangular-based capital features clean, geometric lines and rests on a base that recalls the elegance of Doric plinths.
