Palazzo Goldoni, Rome

“Where the charm of history meets modernity”

A historic building restored to its former splendor through a careful renovation that preserved its charm while seamlessly integrating modern touches. This is the restyling of Palazzo Goldoni Condotti Collection, an exclusive residence in the heart of Rome, nestled between Via Condotti and Piazza di Spagna.

The exclusive residence stands on the site where the historic convent of the Trinitari Castigliani Spagnoli, known as “Calzati”, once stood, dating back to the 18th century. A distinctive feature is the location, overlooking one of the most famous Roman streets in the world, the ancient Via Trinitatis, now Via Condotti, a cradle of luxury and international chic shopping. The name Palazzo Goldoni references the famous Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni, who lived there for a year.

A place designed to capture the charm of history and architectural elements from the past, welcoming a discerning clientele in spaces of timeless elegance, both today and in the past.

A completely custom-made project in line with the building’s exclusive style, a restyling project with a partnership for the research, selection, and supply of various materials: continuous surface, marbles, and quartzites.

The joint-free, textured continuous surface is present in various parts of the building, including the halls and corridors. Specifically, the low-thickness Sib Hardcrete from Concrete Solution, processed by Trattamento Pavimenti, is used. The same material, with its tactile appeal in total black, is also used as a finish for the base of the freestanding elliptical bathtubs in the suites.

The majestic reception desk counters are made from Patagonia granite, crafted from unique blocks processed by Fratelli Marmo, selected, cut, and assembled by hand. These counters are further emphasized by the total black cladding, which harmonizes with the grey continuous surface flooring.

Amid sophisticated Italian handcrafted furniture and original stone fireplaces, the custom-made tables designed specifically for Palazzo Goldoni by Krei and Progetto Nudo stand out.

The spectacular element is provided by Avocado Green Quartzite, a natural stone highly valued in architecture for its chameleon-like character. This rock, sourced from Brazil, is defined by large patches of green in varying shades, interspersed with delicate white quartz veins that create a three-dimensional texture. The deep, intense green gives the surfaces unique tactile effects, resembling works of art created by nature. Thanks to its incredible durability and heat resistance, quartzite is ideal for customizing workspaces, hotels, lounges, restaurants, and spa & wellness areas, bringing the charm of nature into interior design.
